BHOOMI Land Records Management System
BHOOMI is a flagship project of the Karnataka State Government, aimed at providing a comprehensive Land Records management system. It was inaugurated in the year 2000 and has since digitized all the manual RTCs (Record of Rights, Tenancy, and Crops) that were previously in use. These digitized records are now easily accessible to citizens through Kiosk Centers.
One of the key features of BHOOMI is its ability to handle ownership and other changes in the RTCs through a mutation process, in accordance with the Karnataka Land Reforms (KLR) Act. This ensures that the Land Records database is up-to-date and accurate. To support the implementation of this project, Bhoomi back offices have been established in all taluks of the state. Additionally, LR Kiosks and Application Kiosks have been set up in these centers, providing convenient access to the land records.
BHOOMI is a free program available on the Android platform, developed by the Revenue Department Government of Karnataka.
